Welcome to Steemit.
Steemit is a social media app built on Steem blockchain, which you can use to post good content and get paid for it .
Or at least this is what it is supposed to be.
The trouble is this is a decentralised app that is reliant on everyone using it for the purpose it was made for, to promote great content.
As we have all seen, people will post whatever and upvote whatever they want or what they think will make them money.
Hard fork 21 is supposed to have fixed that issue , but will it ?
Personally I think people and bots will find another way to get paid what they believe is theirs.
So how about a different approach.
Let’s look at getting people to hold onto their Steem .
Ok but how does this help you ask ?
We all came to Steemit and either invested money or time into it or both.
Money is the easiest way to add value at the moment as it has wide spread use .
Holding onto any Steem buy or earn insures any money invested on the Steem blockchain stays on the Steem blockchain helping to Stabilise the Steem economy.
Time whilst being valuable only adds value if we are adding content that people can learn something from , find amusing or entertaining.
This is why it is important that think about the content we are putting up and if it is good enough to spend time on . We really need everyone working smarter not harder .
Posting this way will not only give yourself more credibility, but also Steemit .
Steemit after all is a social media site that promotes great content.
So why would anyone bother checking out a site that promotes itself as promoting great content if it just has poor quality posts in the trending ?
I think we all need to remember that any payouts we receive from posting only have value so long as the Steem currency has value .
Posting great content and showcasing Steemit to the world does this . The more we do this the more respect we can build with the world outside of Steemit.
As we gain this respect people will start to look to Steemit for great content.
This will attract new users and investors and then the price will start to turn around and all of a sudden all the money you have been earning while the price is down will be worth more .
As a decentralised app we are more in control then you think and our actions can shape the success or failure of Steem.
So make sure you are investing your time wisely in Steemit , the community and in yourself.
