Its amazing that time and time again we see stories like this and still continue to have faith in our leaders, in our government and in our country.
No matter where you are in the world its abundantly clear that the entire system is rotten to the core. Every other week there are stories coming to light of the abuse of power and privileges awarded to the people we elect as leaders.
Not only the abuse but the pure hypocrisy of these leaders as they tell us what we can and cant do, even with our own bodies, while they themselves indulge in the behaviors themselves.
And yet time after time we get the voting booths (by force and threat of fine in Australia), we cast votes for these people, we argue about 'who is the best party to vote for', we believe the rubbish they feed us on a daily basis.
I often find myself questioning humanity as a whole when we can be so blind to what is happening right before our eyes and yet we continue the same madness year after year.
They have us fighting over the breadcrumbs while they make away with the loaf, and we play right along. Little do we realize WE have the power to end the game if we just had the understanding that if we stand up we can create the change we need and want.
Until then all we can do is wait for people to have this realization so we can take some action, this is not something any one of us can do alone... united we stand, divided we fall.
I continue to hope and pray for this moment, when we decide enough is enough, when we begin to create the world we want to see, when we begin the revolution and embrace our evolution.
So until then let me leave you with another nugget of political gold... i laugh to save from crying...
