So many times we are made to believe like our lives are like a manual to installing a Flat screen TV, where we have to follow every step as it is instructed to get the installation done successfully. You know when you miss out on a bolt R2 to be screwed on the right place, there's gonna be a stagnancy unless you have to retract your way backwards to get it right.
Unfortunately, real life of humans are not or let me say, should not be like that because no matter how much or often we talk about it, some still chose or are mandated to live like a programmed robot.
Some children's lives are already mapped out like a tour direction on how they would live, the kind of life they need to have, who they must associate with (not based on choice here but as an order) for alliances and the likes.
Not that these set of children do not live a good life and infact we who have liberty to do whatever we want with our lives get envy of their lifestyle and upbringing, unaware of their inner battles where they also wish they were a common man.
However, for some of us, we were not born into that life where we have it all planned like an insurance and we just have to get it right and figured out ourselves. Btw the line, we find out that we are either on the wrong career path, or on the right path but just not approaching it the right way or we were not even meant to embark on any in the first place.
It's not like it's a failures for not getting it figured out on time. When a new passion overrides the previous passion and we're looked at as someone with no real focus or when our lives are not kicking the success button right from the start when we began and it's not like we are failures when the comparisons begin with peers and we're just there lagging behind.
A clock is enough evidence that everyone with their own second, minutes and hour ticking, which is the more reason why the pace of one person should not be compared with another. Although, time wait for no one like the English people will say but running at your own time and working with who we are and not based on another is the best way of discovery.
There's no lateness in self discovery and taking steps to work on it. While some have it figured out before they set into marriage, some could only chase after their dreams after tasting the sweetness and burden of marriage. Just like a clip I saw from a web2 platform talking about married people not being able to chase after their dreams like the single ladies but it still doesn't mean they won't chase after it. That's it. The arrival time should not be a determinant but we still chose to run at our time and arrive at the destination we envisioned for.
Life will not always be the same for us all the same way, but whichever way it is working for us individually, the end result is what matters most not how we started. Just like a race competition, starting with a fall doesn't mean you won't get to the finish line. Others might just get there before you.
