Highlights - Champions League Match day 1:

Group A
The Defending Champion (ptaku@ptaku) had a leisurely day, while all the others scored 22. venan@venan can now claim he has beaten the Champion.

cryptospa@cryptospa has won his very first point in the Champions League by drawing in a friendly match with a good friend of his, flaxz@flaxz

Group B
I already love this group! All had scores within [16,18]!. ilodz24hd@ilodz24hd - the Consolation Cup title holder - was better than davidthompson57@davidthompson57 , while the newcomer, notak@notak only slightly lost to a veteran, cezary-io@cezary-io

Group C
Updated:
manuvert@manuvert's skiing was enough to win. davidesimoncini@davidesimoncini achieved the "distinction" of the lowest score of all participants (7)
In the other match, browery@browery did not leave any doubts and won decisively. I guess that bucipuci@bucipuci will take a sweet revenge next Thursday.

Group D
grecki-bazar-ewy@grecki-bazar-ewy had the 3rd highest score of all, but had the misfortune of meeting me on the first day... and I had the highest score on Match Day 1 (see what I did.
The other pair wasn't so exciting, masoom@masoom won with a high margin over pjansen@pjansen

Important Reminder

Starting last Season, the players who finish 3rd in their groups don't go on vacation - they are transferred to the quarterfinals of Consolation Cup (and are seeded there). Novelty this season, I will create a sub-standings of 3rd placed players based SOLELY in their total score in 6 match days.

this means that activity pays off, even if one has a misfortune of being in a tough group
