End of my “500km for 50th birthday” trek. My Actifit Report Card: June 4 2024

My 500km ended yesterday. My hiking companion slipped on a mud film on a steep slope. It looked ok at first but eventually we had to call mountain rescue. She ended in a hospital. Nothing broken but her right leg is immobilised.

This means the end for me as well. I’ll get her home today. Since we are far away, I’ll need another day to get back. But then I am out of vacation and won’t be able to complete the trail before Sunday

I feel no regrets. There important and more important things in life. I know I’ve made the right choice. The trail is still there, I’ll complete it another time.
