During the past weekend I had hiked in mountains, doing about 15km per day. The distance translates into 25-28k steps.
Yesterday I went out for a long, 20km walk. I had only few hours in the evening, after work. The distance plus some grocery shopping, resulted in 28k steps. Which is a good score to challenge @manuvert in
@poliac. It also puts me in in a good position in
@poprzeczka competition.
Such competitions are good motivators for activity. Had I had another opponent yesterday, I would have probably limit my walk to 10km. I enjoyed my stroll very much - good weather (just below 0, windless) and big chunk was by the river bank. A cold evening in February is not a prime time for joggers / cyclists, so I had the riverbank almost exclusively for myself. I met just a few dogs and their owners.
The return wasn't that pleasant - I closed my loop going thru the city.
