Mt Babia Gora in Polish Beskidy Mts is equally famous for epic sunrises as it is infamous for very dynamic weather. It’s 1725m a.a.l. So particularly high, but it’s very prominent (over 1000m), which means there’s nothing higher nearby.
Therefore, if the weather is good (a rarity there), sunrises are epically beautiful and attract 100s of rising sun lovers, willing to get up early and do 2hra (3,5km and 700m elevation gain) hike in the dark.
Today was my 3rd sunrise there but the first that I could label as fantastic. Absolutely wonderful experience worth every effort.
