In our church there’s is a lot of space. However, during COVID time we had about 10 people on Sunday service. Unused kitchen, empty children playroom, echo in the corridor… Our pastor was thinking of cancelling the rent and finding something smaller.
Great he didn’t. Now there’s shelter for 40 people, kitchen is busy almost 24/7, the playroom is buzzing with children voices and it’s difficult to find quiet even in the pastor’s office.
We are busy, we are tired at times, but we are happy serving the people in need. As they filled our empty rooms and hearts, we feel very much #AliveAndThriving
