I was attending to my two potted Basil plants and was trying to till the soil when I found this wild mushroom. I was excited because I seldom see such thing in my container garden. It just sprouted when the temperature was cooler that day. I readily got my smartphone and took snapshots.
I looked it up via Google lens and something similar popped-up which hinted that this could be a a magic maushroom, but am not sure. There are so many varieties of similar mushrooms, and whether this is poisonous, only the experts would know.
I have a feeling that this is poisonous... I have also read about shrooms and their hallucinogenic effects that makes one high.
There are many mushrooms in our forest but to be able to know whether the mushrooms found are edible or poisonous, there are knowledgeable experts in the Marktamt (Market Office) of each district who could tell the characteristics of each variety.
Just to give an insight about mushroom picking in our forest generally, if the area is privately owned and there is no hint that picking of the same as well as other berries are prohibited, one can gather mushrooms up to 2 kilos. Some landowners give permission to pick for a fee with max. 2 kilos.
