The Good Old "Alte Donau"

Hi Guys! Today´s walk had been a quiet one.... I wonder just where all the people went, the road in my old district was almost empty. Did I miss something? I had to make errands today , the first had been an appointment with my internist to discuss about the lab test results I did last week. A couple of results were above/below the norm but the doctors said there is nothing to worry about because the results were minimal. He said I had to make a diet to reduce my weight so as to prevent rheumatic pains...Huh! I have been doing that step by step...very difficult because I love to cook and eat...Lol!

The Thrift Shop...

After the internist, I passed-by a thrift shop along the way before going to the medical practitioner..The first thing I saw when I parked the car was these bunch of flowers that were growing along the lane. I just love their colors. Carla is a charity organization of Caritas helping the needy.

I went to inspect the Hall full of beautiful pieces. I saw these lovely terrine and I was not tempted to buy one because I do not have enough space in the apartment...

Oh my, I was in love with this small cake platter, its a petite piece and could hold a huge cupcake...I bought it and I will be using this in my food photography.

At the Alte Donau....

My house doctor, my medical practitioner has a clinic that is just a block away from the "Alte Donau" so after I got some prescriptions, I visited the Upper part of the Old Danube to take pictures.

Crossing this street to then left, I went straight down to the water next to the Maritime house. The employees there are the ones cleaning the water from any algae and the like. The water in the Old Danube is a still water, so it does not flow...the real big Danube has a strong stream and is on the other side of this area parallel to the "Donau Insel". You can see some of my images here.

Today had been very cloudy but the air is mild, some locals wore short sleeves and in shorts. It is a pity that it was so cloudy and I couldn´t take good images because the water reflects the gray skies. It even rained when I came home.
