Wednesday is #Wednesdaywalk hosted by great tattoodjay@tattoodjay ☀️

It started as an unplanned walk: we arrived in Jasenovo, and the idea struck me to head toward Grbenac—a route I remembered walking long ago and had fond memories of.

The path first led to Dupljaja; just before entering the village, we came across a replica of a terracotta cart—depicting a humanoid figure with a duck's beak driving a cart pulled by ducks—which had originally been discovered during excavations near the village.
These artifacts date back to the Middle Bronze Age and are associated with the Dubovac-Žuto Brdo culture.

We continued on to Grbenac and stopped by the bridge before entering the village. The road leads to a dam along the Danube-Tisa-Danube Canal.

It is lovely to walk by the water, though the reeds and thick brush prevented us from actually reaching the water's edge.

It took about an hour to reach the complex, but we couldn't get in; the gate was locked.

Still, the walk was wonderful, and the weather was perfect. Many swans were swimming nearby, though they were too far away for photos.

We thoroughly enjoyed the walk and the surrounding scenery.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog 🥰

Have a nice evening 🌌
