LILY`S 1st BIG SNOW
My mom in-law, then aged 87, had Lily for the first time in her lap when she was just 6 months old.. a fragile tiny chihuahua that had been her companion in her apartment for three years.
The first 3 years of Lily being with her was definitely a joy. But then the following year, everything changed when mom in-law was diagnosed with the Alzheimer disease. Her disease type was an aggressive one so she had to be confined in a special clinic for Alzheimer patients for she needed medicines. Mom in-law seldom walked Lily most especially when there was freezing temperature. She was trained to make a pee inside her home like a cat and only went to a compulsory walk when she had to make a big one.
So we took Lily home where she stayed with us ever since ... We brought her to her "mom" every time we visited her in her clinic apartment. It was in her first year with us that she encountered and experienced the thick snow in my garden... I thought that she liked it!
It was a sad day for us when mom in-law passed away last year in Summer and now Lily is definitely a family member. And wherever we travel by air or land... she also travels with us. Inside the plane, I take her on board in her special bag that I place under my seat.
