Introducing Myself To The Hive Community

Hello, my name Is Mers

And I am here to introduce myself to the Hive Community in response to @anomadsoul´s introductory challenge that is sponsored by @blocktrades and @ocd .

My Family origin....

I am originally from the Philippines but have been living in Austria for the last 36 years. I come from a huge family with five brothers, unfortunately three of them were ill with cancer and already passed-away. As the saying goes... we live for the future so make the most of our lives!

I went to the Goethe Institute to have an intensive course of the german language. If you do not speak the native language it will be difficult to find work here.. My first job had been as bookeeper in a tax consultant office. Then as my german knowledge got better, I moved on and changed jobs. I was the station accountant of two leading US airlines with headquarters in Frankfurt, as station accountant of a controversial US Chemical giant until they moved offices in Brno.... and as chief accountant of multinational company dealing with heavy equipments.

My last job had been as Chief Accountant for the multinational Group of companies until my retirement a couple of years back. I was first introduced to cryptocurrencies sometime in 2014, read a lot of articles on Bitcoin. Since my corporate job had been so stressy, I really never had the time to dig deep about it. Until I joined the other blockchain.

After retirement...

I used to blog on Google for some time, but it was time consuming and I couldn´t cope with my available time. I was constantly under stress because of my job. It was only after my retirement that I joined in Steemit thru the inviation of my friend @otom. We both, together with @trisun formed a FB group to encourage Filipino newbies to join Steemit and passed on to them infos so they learn the ropes on how the blockchain worked. Some left, others stayed, some also joined Hive.

As a sports enthusiast.....

I love to bike in and round my vicinity.. we have a lovely biking route located in a farming area that has been transformed into a sports hotspot. I love to walk the dog there and pick some wildflowers for arranging in a vase. It is also very nice to go there because of the serenity of the whole area. The area is actually the border of city of Vienna and Lower Austria. The biking route is around 65 Kms and begins from the Danube River to Schloss Hof in Lower Austria.

My Hobbies.....

Most of our family members are gifted with talent, I guess we got it from our Dad´s side. Some could play musical instruments, some sing professionally , my nephew @gremayo (son of my younger bro) makes fine arts and digital animation. My hobbies are more on gardening, cooking, DIY projects, crafting, woodworking , I paint sometimes using oil, sketched a few with pencil. I also love to arrange wildflowers picked from dog walks with Lily, our chihuahua princess.

and of all hobbies, gardening is my favorite.. I always get so much satisfaction seeing the fruit of my labor
