Here in the Whiteshell Provincial Park in Manitoba, there is a small place called Brereton Lake. A place with gorgeous water, colorful flowers, ice cold drinks and beyond delicious food!
Brereton Lake is a place 2 hours from Winnipeg with many things to do such as pontoon and fishing boat rentals, kayak rentals, cabin rentals & different skill leveled hiking trails. They have equipment to play croquet, badminton, volleyball or tennis.
but the one thing that I have to rave about today, is the Brereton Lake Resort Restaurant. We, as a family have been going to the beach every weekend for the past month and cannot get enough of the great food and cold drinks! The food portions are HUGE for such a fair price, serving things from burgers & fries to pizza and quesadillas! The staff that works at the resort are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the area and what to do, but I will have to say it takes a long time to get your food, roughly an hour each time, and minor things such as forgetting our side of fries, or side of gravy. BUT WITH THAT BEING SAID, the food is home cooked TO SERVE each and every person, and the love that is put into the food cancels out some of the cons in service.
My partner (ate-bit-dave) got the Brereton Burger, LOADED with chilli as you can see and a nice big, juicy beef patty in the middle, with a side of fries and coleslaw.
I got the LOADED Quesadilla, with 4 different cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar, parm & feta) complimented with chicken and various toppings. I like to opt out of the salsa, and get double the sour cream as salsa isn't really my thing!
If you ever catch yourself in the area, I would highly recommend the place to anyone!
