When I saw the topic, I didn't think much to know the things I'd love to ban and un-ban in my country considering the fact that these things have been bothering me for as long as I got aware of them. I may never get the chance to actually put this to reality but it's a prayer that things fall in place in the future if not now.
Nigeria is a blessed country but like every other country, there is always some things that aren't set right and would need to be looked into. It may take a long time or not, but the hope is that, things will be set right someday.
If I get the chance to un-ban one thing that is banned in my country, it would be "Cryptocurrency"

I'm not so vast with the world of Web3 and Cryptocurrency but I know the enough about the opportunities in it and that it would affect a country's economy positively if adopted. The world is evolving and I believe my country should follow suit especially with the new and better Web.
A lot of crypto transactions are considered suspicious or totally banned, making it hard for Nigerians to transact with crypto and include themselves in the benefits that crypto provides. Of course, there are reasons many countries are not able to un-ban Cryptocurrency but I believe these reasons can be worked on for better future with crypto.
If I can, un-banning Cryptocurrency would be among the first things I'll do as I am directly involved in it and I've seen the opportunities and would like to do it more freely, hopefully also transact offline with my crypto assets.
Putting off the ban will definitely come with challenges for citizens to understand how it works and may affect the economy in a negative way too, but I think it is way better with Cryptocurrency than without it.
I'll ban Gambling.
No second thoughts about this, I'm definitely putting a serious ban on Gambling and give a strong rule that would punish whoever is caught doing it. I don't get why people would choose to want to try their luck at the expense of another's mental health and money.
The "get rich quick" syndrome in Gambling is something else in my part of the world, people spend their life's savings, school fees and even steal to gamble all of it away and get nothing. Even when you think they'd stop there, they do even more evil things to earn money for Gambling.
Sporty bets or whatever they call them, I've heard of too many evils it has caused to people involved in it to turn a blind eye to it. Drugs are in this category as well and I'm glad to have seen a few entries pointing to that. These things are not helping a country in anyway, just some people earning huge from them while some dying slowly because of them.
I believe with these in place, things will get a little better. People will find more opportunities in crypto to wealth creation and do away with the wrong ways to earn money.
