I think I'm the worse when it comes to being positive minded, I give up easily on some things (not everything though) and I tend to get hurt easily by what people say about me.
I mean, I don't trust myself enough... I don't love myself enough and I somehow hate being me sometimes.
Too bad right? Even I think so too, I have been trying unproductively to make it stop, to love myself more and to be more positive about who I am.
Well, it ends today because I'm more convinced about it to write every positivity out of me. I don't know if I do have any that would make people love me but I'm just going to follow my heart and let my fingers guide my keyboards.
After all, self love comes in first and then the love of humanity wins! So I think.
Whatever you read from now is from a negative mindset that has been reset to being positive... It's not going to be easy but trying won't hurt, they say so I'm just going to let positivity win this time in my head and in my heart.
From my name, (Merit - English name meaning deserving or worthy of something good, and Ikuesiri - Native name meaning Good news), I was born a positive human girl. Everything about me from my babyhood was positive, I was worthy and I am a good child to my parents.
But growing up and trying to find a place to fit in living in this world, I had slowly lost touch of who I am - A positive child. I wanted to make people love me and I forgot to love myself which over time has been causing commotions in my head whenever a positive opportunity presents itself to me.
Leading a positive life goes deep into how I see myself and how others sees me but one of the happiest time of my life was when I saw myself appreciating myself 😳 I was so surprised that I spent hours figuring out how it all happened so I could make it happen again.
It happened that it was a day where I was in the midst of the people that mattered most to me, people who have my back when I call on them and people who love music just like I do. We went through a lot together but came out victorious and I couldn't stop appreciating me for staying strong with them.
That was the first time I looked at myself in the mirror and said a lot of things smiling at myself.
Wow look at you! So beautiful, so happy
You look great today, look at your smile
I thought you were lazy, you actually pulled that off
There's no other like you, you're one of a kind
I love your smile, I love who you're becoming
Most importantly, I love you!!!
Those words may be regular but they were so special to me that day and some other days I did the same thing. I found out that speaking positivity to yourself works like magic, you just feel confident about yourself and feel better.
I do have many other happiest moments but I count this one very special to me... It opened the doors to the positives I was born into.
One thing I've learned about being in a team is "Giving helping hands" even when you seem to be the least person they'll ask help from. I've been on so many kinds of teams and I've learned so many things from each of those teams, all that has made me have more to give to any team I would find myself.
I can improve the unity of a team by building friendship with every member.
This is one thing I find difficult to do but whenever I give it a shot, I'm so good at it... How do one finds difficulty in something she's good at? The mindset, right?
I can spread love vibes not just to those who call I call friends but also those who feel left out in the team and those who don't see themselves worthy to be called a member.
I've been in a team where I had to fight my thoughts to be part of them because everyone of them were way out of my league (I wasn't as good as them) but within a short period of time, I became one of the best... That was because I fought the negatives in my mind.
I'll tag this as the highlight of this post because it's one thing I had found difficult to write out... What is positive about the lady I am?
I can't give a full list of how positive of a person I am but I know it deep down and I wish to keep it that way... Staying positive always!
If there is one major surprise that Hive has shown me which I would tag as my favourite too... It is "Finding my true self". I don't know if it was really my dream to write and connect with people but since I started writing, things have been positively good for me.
I had been a difficult one for myself until Hive. I didn't imagine myself to be like this today but clearly, Hive surprised me and I'm here testifying of it with a grateful heart.
Hive has also surprised me with the number of friends and connections I've had through the one year I've been here. They may be called virtual friends but they've all won a place in my heart and Hive made that possible.
More surprises are coming because I am very positive about it... Hive is all about positivity if you would see it positively 😊
This is me reintroducing myself positively as initiated by @snook 's Questions and also to share on
