It's like watching a poorly written SNL bit really. The way they are attempting to justify what effectively is a tax increase, is hilarious at best.

It could be

That the idea is that we will have less product crossing borders, therefor less ways to smuggle the drugs. That "kind of" makes sense.

If this is the case, if this is the logic we've decided to follow then I propose we close the borders completely. Yes, that will show those countries not to send us their fentanyl packed avocados and maple syrups.

But, it could also be

That if these trade wars completely destroy the economy, then we won't have any money to buy the fentanyl in the first place.

That also makes a lot of sense. Yeah, I mean, you basically have to decide: Burger or fentanyl.

That could work, I have to say.

Anyways, I'm glad Fox news is letting us know the reason why increasing out taxes, our cost of living is necessary. I almost thought they were screwing us for a petty reason.
