Hello from Iran — I finally managed to get connected to the internet. How are you doing? I hope everything is going well wherever you are.
These days, as you all know, after many years we had a very heavy snowfall in our city. With no access to free internet, the only small comfort we had was going out and taking a few photos. Since everything was covered in snow, I worked with my model and longtime companion, Farideh, and we shot a series of images. The shimmer of sunlight on the trees and in the back alley created a completely different mood and atmosphere.
I used natural light for the photos and the lighting setup, because the snow itself acted like a giant reflector, giving everything a dreamy quality.
Have a great day, friends. We’re doing okay here in Iran, and I’m happy to be back once again. Until we meet again, goodbye.
