Weekend delicacies

This past weekend, I got to enjoy a typical European breakfast that included delicious freshly baked bread from a Chicago bakery that also makes fresh butter and the best ever cinnamon rolls. We had meat, cheese, and hard-boiled eggs and of course coffee and orange juice. And I forgot to take pictures!

For lunch we had a simple Russian meal that included potatoes and pickled herring. My daughter-in-law sent pictures home to family in Russia to show them that we are honoring their traditions.

Don't tell them that the kids opted for pizza!
