To celebrate Sunday I wanted to share some of the street art that I saw last week in Chicago.
This mural was on the side of a restaurant that was in the process of creating an outdoor eating area just under this lovely bouquet of flowers. I always wonder how outdoor dining works out here. There are so many months where it would be very hard to use that space because of the weather.
The Helen C. Peirce School of International Studies in Andersonville has some great mosaics decorating the entrance to the school. Of course the stylized world map is representative of the school.
And the flags that spell out HCP, which are the initials of the school, represent the populations that settled Andersonville.
I am already looking forward to the next visit to see the kids! There are so many neighborhoods yet to explore!
