My kids have been on a holiday in Belgrade this past week with extended family. They all rented a house together and met up in the Zemun neighborhood on the banks of the Danube, just 20 minutes away from downtown. All the buses in Belgrade are free for everyone, so it was easy to travel around and explore the city

Sharing lunch with the pigeons.

This seemed to be a favorrite perch for this hooded crow. It was there often.

These are Mute Swans (Cygnus olor) gathered along the banks of the Danube River in Zemun, a historic municipality of Belgrade, Serbia.
This stretch of the riverfront along the Zemun Quay (Zemunski kej) is famous for its resident population of mute swans, which regularly gather along the shore to feed, and preen. They don't seem to mind making themselves available for photoshoots!

Showing her niece how to take mobile phone photos.

All photos are from my family albums.
