It's been about about a month since I moved from both my parents and uncle's house. While the main reason was due to the distance to and from work, I also sincerely wanted to experience the spinsterhood lifestyle before the marriage world comes in.
I mean, I've practically had to live with my family all through my life except my university days. Those days could and would not even be compared to living alone presently.
I've got my flatmate @blezyn and truthfully it's been a whole new experience. The fact that I come from work and can decide to sleep immediately, or the fact that I get to totally call the shots. Is it the freedom that comes with it or the fact that I'm living close to work or the best experience of having my best friend as a flatmate.
Regarding freedom, my boyfriend always rings it in my ears never to abuse it. I can be so carefree and he gets skeptical sometimes which proves he loves me.
Moving out of my parent's has been one goal I achieved this year that I'm so happy and grateful to God for. The fact that I get to experience the total independent life calms my soul. Indeed, I'm proud of myself.
While this has it's great advantages, one major disadvantage is that I miss my family. These are the people I grew up with and practically shared my life with. Let's not talk about the bills.
The bills never stop. From light bills, to water, to feeding, to a whole lot more. Yet, I'll happily pay the bills. Freedom comes with a price, they say. And I also get to split the bills with my flatmate which makes it bearable.
Thinking back, I'm so happy I've come this far and I think this is one of my best decisions of the year 2021.
