Looking at the beers I am reviewing this week you could be forgiven for thinking that the end times are truly upon us.

Two sour beers, the second of which somehow manages to mix raspberry and coffee!?! Coffee, yes, can be exceptionally lovely in a beer but with Raspberry?

Ewwwgh. I can already feel a disturbance deep down in my brown toboggan.

But no amount of tobogganing will make this tosh easier. I shall just have to level up and get my mouth on.

Here goes!

The first horror charmer mixes strawberry with vanilla. It seems wrong to be calling this thing a beer.

Somehow, this week, I feel like someone is having a laugh at my expense.

Roly Poly, a famous British dessert, essentially a big sponge jam roll.

Remind me what kind of tasting am I doing again?

Oh yes, Beer. So they say. Well, let us see if it at least pours like one.

HA! That was entirely unexpected, the initial pour was like an explosion in a spunk factory. Look at that head?!

Madness. Take two...

That's a little better. It is actually quite a bonnie looking wee beer, as older ladies and meesterboom's might tend to say in Scotland. A very fetching hazy gold with a frothy bouncing snowy white mane.

I don't feel quite so nervous.

Sour as a Hollywood wife after a year of marriage!

It is quite nice though. The kind of thing you would appreciate on a Sunny day, maybe not to have more than one of but refreshing and a bit zingy like a fizzy white wine.

I'm happy with that, a resounding 7.5 booms!!

So the good one is out of the way. Now the Darth Maul of sour beers awaits me.

It does seem as if some Brewing collaborations are done more because they can and not because they should.

Much like the Good Lady struggles with my testicles. I struggle with the concept of Rasberry paired with Coffee.

But, you never know.

So enough snarf and let's get it poured.

It is a fine ruby-going-on-pink coloured thing and it doesn't have any of the frothing sea that the last one did on the pour.

I must say, this sun does make the beers look fabulous.

Maybe things will work out alright?

Hoaaargh?! Yak?! That is sour beyond belief and the flavour to help carry it off isn't there. My saliva glands have gone into a weird spasm like the time I mistakenly ordered a whole pig's stomach in a Chinese Restaurant and had to eat it so as not to look like a silly Gwailou.

I did end up looking like a tit. But that is a tale for another day. :OD

At least that was meat. What is this muck?!

Ughft. A terrible 2/10 booms... I can't even bear to drink it! To the bin!!

Oh my. What a strange week.

Next week I am back on the real beer wagon. Stuff these odd creatures that purport to be beer!

Have a good weekend everyone.

Cheers!
