TODAY mark 3-years since I joined the largest community in the blockchain & cryptocurrency space. I was literally an amateur without prior experience of technology or cryptocurrency when I joined the chain. But it is better to fail at a thing than to stay idle.
If not for the safety measures in place (due to COVID19), I should be rocking with a glass of wine to some good music from the rockstar band. But I would look forward to amazing comments, wishes and good gestures from my amiable families - hive people.
My journey to the blockchain
My journey into the blockchain space won’t be complete without my friend’s input. @ ehiboss, he led me by the hands to the chain and supported me. Indeed, true friendship still exist. My early days on the blockchain was met with disappointments of different sorts. Perhaps, because I came in not prepared or does not have an objective in mind.
That was the case of most people who came in then. At a point, I left to pursue my School vis-a-vis career in Presenting/Anchoring. That was around July/August. Then the unthinkable happened.
Unthinkable Era 🐃 🏃
When I left, Steem was not up to $0.9cent at that time. But Q3 of that year, the cryptocurrency market generally soar.
Bitcoin ATH at that time was $15k. This wave cut across all other coins such as ETH, STEEM & others. Steem rose to about $7-9.
Assuming you’re A and you’re hodling about 2,000-4,000 Steem. While B your is hodling about 500-1,000 Steem. Do the math. You know that’s unthinkable
My friend wanted to host a community event in Nigeria. So, he called on me to be the anchor. I found my way back. I’m talking about 2018 if you know the story.

I am grateful for the tremendous knowledge I got from the community. The circle of friends, mentor and colleagues I came across on the chain. I can’t possibly mention/tag everyone but you all are amazing.😉
Joining this community wasn’t a mistake. And I can categorically say that I’m using the resources I got from this chain to harness myself financially, academically & overall development.
