There is a popular saying that time is money. Actually, time is priceless and is irredeemable. This is the reason time management is important in our lives as human beings. To make the best use of time, some people buy schedulers or use free apps.
There was a time I had an assessment with an organisation which was set to a particular time; because of other activities on my desk, I failed to log in at the appropriate time. By the time I logged in, I was told that they had already proceeded with another candidate. All efforts to get that time back failed.
Today, everybody tends to be busy with one activity or the other; we all need good time management skills, or an app that will assist us in managing our time. Again, the ability to prioritise our activities and stay within the scope of each activity will save us from falling behind and help us to attain to some level of discipline and performance when our work is evaluated.
Some other benefits of time management include meeting set goals, working responsibly, and increasing productivity. I notice that each time I use the Google Scheduler to apportion my tasks within specific timelines, I meet my goals and also improve productivity.
However, because of many distractions that come from engaging on social media platforms, watching films, and attending events that do not matter, people tend to work round the clock with little to show for it because of lack of proper time management.

So, if I could go back in time and change a particular period of my life, I would like to change how I spent my time while starting my career; I would work more on being early to set appointments, assessments, meetings, and plan my tasks. This is because I missed a lot of opportunities then forming busy with works and thinking that there is time and that those opportunities will show up when I am ready. Unfortunately, most of them didn’t.
However, I have learnt to plan effectively, setting timelines towards my goals, but never neglecting the time to rest, refuel, and recharge for better productivity.
