I got on, and I noticed this on my most recent post, and I realized that it's been 6 years since I was on the blockchain. It's kind of crazy to see how the crypto space and Hive have changed over time.

The Journey

I started Hive because of Splinterlands, and it became a place that I showed up for 6 years. I did struggle trying to find my place when I first started, but taskmaster4450@taskmaster4450 was the one who pushed me to be more active and interact with more people on the blockchain. He gave me a simple task: make 100 meaningful comments, and then come back to complain if Hive isn't working for you. The community aspect is a large part of the blockchain, and I suggest it to anyone struggling to do that.

When I joined, Hive was struggling, but it entered a bull market phase where everything pumped. It was amazing to see how active people were during those times, and so many people have left over time. However, I do believe that the people who stick it out will reap the rewards if things recover. The DHF and other mismanagement have made it hard for a lot of people, but things are changing a bit now. HBD interest isn't as high, and the DHF has cut back its spending quite a bit. I have hopes for Hive recovering, but who knows what will happen.

In the end, there isn't much we can do, but do our small part. It might not be enough to reverse the mismanagement, but I do believe that Hive is the best social media community. I hope to be here next year for my 7th Hive anniversary. To those who stuck around like me, I hope things do work out for Hive.
