Dear Hive Community,
Today I remembered I had an anniversary in April.
It was my eight year on Hive.
I would like to say it has been all fun and games, but that would be untrue.
It is a long road to eight years.
I came here from the madness of alt coins and the promise of riches when a coin increased in value by 1000.
It was mostly scams and other bad investments.
It was dangerous and easy to lose all your investment.
Then I came to Hive / Chain which shall not be named.
It was like night and day.
The wallets were different, the account names were different and the community was very welcoming.
It was a civilized place in the cryptocurrency jungle.
I wrote, I read, I researched and I wrote some more.
I read some of those articles now, and they are not accurate, and contain what I knew back then, which was not always true. But it was real, it was my truth, it was what I understood at the time.
My knowledge has changed quite a bit since then.
I still read and research things, but the words hold a different meaning now.
I have a better understanding of blockchain and digital ledgers, blockchain explorers and becoming a node or mining.
But the community is still filled with humans, and humans are gonna human.
So things can be bright and looking great, until humans mess it up.
Sigh.
... writing on Hive is at times like a tree falling in the forest when there's no one around.
And other times the wrong people hear you and come to make trouble.
It's a mixed bag of emotions and fortunes.
It's Hive. It's good, it's bad, it's encouraging and it's discouraging.
Right now I am focused on building software constructs on top of Hive.
I have decided to get back to building.
I built EasyDefi and the NoLossLottery here and several other things on the Chain-Which-Shall-not-be-named.
But I built using the Smart Contracts on Hive and at times utilized the security of Hive Power to power ideas and businesses.
but now with AI I can use the AI's coding skills to creat front-ends and back-ends and the code which connects them.
we are entering an age where more and more people will figure out that coding cool applications and communities on Hive will no longer be solely the domain of those who can write code.
soon it will be a shared domain with those who have big ideas and AI which can code.
The future is very exciting, because the Hive is still very fast and still very free.
So this is a toast to the future of Hive.
