Saludos y Bendiciones Runners.

Greetings and blessings, runners.
Happy start to the week. It’s Monday and the weather is nice. I went out for my workout very early this morning. Since my hip is feeling better, I wanted to see how I’d do with a longer, more intense session today, since my workouts over the last few weeks had been quite short and easy. For today’s workout, I didn’t go to the stadium; instead, I headed to the avenue that leads to the beach, and since it was already light out, I went alone. Before starting, I warmed up a bit since I was going to begin at a moderate intensity—keeping it conservative, of course—because I didn’t know how I’d feel. Thank God, when I started, I felt good. I didn’t push myself to the max; I held back but stayed out of Zones 2 and 3—I was in Zone 4. I ran three kilometers straight, then paused to catch my breath for two minutes, and continued with two kilometers in Zone 4, with my heart rate sometimes reaching 170–180. I finished my workout with a one-kilometer recovery run back home in Zone 2, and stabilize my heart rate.
I felt good; I needed a little Zone 4 training. Even though I didn't feel any pain, I'm still icing the area after training and doing strengthening exercises, since we know that these kinds of injuries take a while to heal and we need to strengthen the affected area because it's already weakened. Let's keep enjoying the process, friends.
