Yo me devolvi antes que mis compañeros ya que necesitaba estar temprano en casa, alcance trotar una hora 28 minutos, la meta era una hora treinta segundos, pero me faltaron dos minutos. Por su puesto para el entrenamiento largo mantuve mi hidratacion, y me lleve mis bocadillos de guayaba, lo que me hace terminar muy bien los entrenamientos, nada de agotamiento, esto es producto del entrenamiento, y de no llevar al cuerpo al colpaso, ni a trabajar sin combustible. Agradecida por el entrenamiento en equipo siempre hace falta compartir con los amigos que amamos esta pasion.

Teamwork Sunday. Up bright and early for the week’s long training run. We were set to meet at 5:40 a.m., but I started at 5:30 a.m. since I had to leave early to attend Mass—which was a blessing because the meeting spot was near my house, so I was able to run a few kilometers while the rest of the team arrived. Once everyone was there, we started the route, setting off together at a gentle pace, chatting away, hehehe. Even though it was so early, the temperatures were already high, but thank God there was a nice breeze. Today’s route was the classic Sunday route—a comfortable, cool route. It was pretty funny that as we were jogging, we passed a house where some people were already up on the porch; they were drinking, and they greeted us very cheerfully with upbeat music playing. We, of course, greeted them back, and one of them even came out to run with us, hehehe, but he only lasted a few meters. We continued our jog at a steady pace with an average pace of 7:30–6:30 min/km. I kept my heart rate below 140 bpm—well, I almost made it.
I headed back before my teammates because I needed to be home early; I managed to jog for an hour and 28 minutes. My goal was an hour and 30 seconds, but I fell short by two minutes. Of course, for the long run, I stayed hydrated and brought my guava snacks, which help me finish my runs feeling great—no exhaustion at all. This is the result of proper training and not pushing my body to the breaking point or working out without fuel. I’m grateful for the team training; it’s always important to share this experience with friends who love this passion.
