what I see and feel
I see the picture of an animal having the body of a rat, but with the head of a bird. I feel the animal is having a conflicting thought of what he is, after seeing his supposed kind doing some things he can not do.

The story
What am I? Mali sat in deep thought after he had tried secretly to imitate his look alike that were flying from one tree to another but he could not fly.

Mali knew as he grew up that he was not from the family he was staying with. Because his face was different from there's. "why is my mouth not looking like yours? " Mali had asked Mr hare after dinner one evening. " You are not different from us Mali, you are just unique" Mr hare said, trying to be evasive. " I know what you are trying to do, if you don't tell the truth I will leave this place and go, and you won't see me again" Mali said looking all serious. Mr hare could feel the seriousness and the desire in his voice to know the truth. " Okay, I will tell you" Mr Hare said. Nine(9) months ago, I went to find food, suddenly there was a fire in the Bush, every animal was running for its dear life, as I was running I found your little self crying, been surrounded by a burning Flame, I had compassion on you, I carried you to a nearby hole that was there and hid you there, till the fire was no more. I think your parents ran and forgot to carry you that day. That was how I took you in to stay with us as a family. "have I treated you differently before?" Mr hare asked " no sir, you have been a wonderful father and family to me sir" Mali said.

It was after he knew all this, that he secretly sneaked out every evening to go look for his kind and parents. At several occasions he had met his kind having a mouth like his, but yet, they seem not to identify with him. He thought if you could learn how to fly, they would accept him. After three weeks of trying to learn to fly and no progress. He went out one evening and stayed by a tree watching in amazement how other birds, even small ones that were five days old, were flying with such ease. And he asked "who am I?"
