Droca had tracked the killer up to the entrance of the alley and with a kind of excitement that is a product of joy that normally precedes clear success, he quietly made for the alley. He carefully tightened the silencer on his pistol and kept it cocked, no funny games this time around he thought. He stood flat against the edge of the wall and slowly peeped into the alley, it was semi dark, he was not surprised about dark but what got him worried was the fact that it had some many corners that opened like a door lining it on both side which means a person can be in any of the corners, patiently and wait for his assailant.
Droca cursed under his breath. The table was not slightly tilted against him, the last time he had a chance of having vengeance of the killer for assassinating his father, he had suddenly broken through a partition inside the room where Droca had him cornered and was interrogating him and merged with other people moving up and down the busy street. It took 3 years to pick up his scent again and another 6 months to track him and now it seems fate had made it a game of a man trying to bite his own buttocks.
"This time, I will get my revenge!" Dorca thought aloud.
40 minutes later, he did.
