Sometimes I think I'm not very resilient, and then I think I AM very resilient.

Like, I'm still here. Is that an accomplishment? But I'm tired all the time, and I retreat into things that don't make me think hard thoughts lots of the time. Is that a detriment?

But

Oh butts

Resilience. Climate resilience. How climate resilient are we: individually, neighborhood-wise, city-wise, regionally, nationally, globally?

Well, I dunno, what does climate resilience mean on an individual level? I guess, what problems might arise due to climate change, and how able to weather those problems are we? And I guess, in the frame of where we live, since we'll deal with regions later. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, globally? Oh, not very. I mean there will be places for ....

Hm. Prognosticators are pretty careful not to paint true doomsday scenarios. I haven't seen anyone suggest that the earth could become as uninhabitable as Venus... is that on the table? Is a future where humans cannot survive on the Earth even on the table? Doesn't seem likely. What instead seems likely is a vastly reduced standard of living for most of the world. Is that something that the people who profit are ok with? Seems so.
