When I send an email because I am upgraded to Enterprise in ListNerds, I can send to 5,014 people. This is equal to 5014 mail credits. With my discounts that is equal to $21.60. I wave wasted almost $100 in ListNerd Email credits.
You may be wondering how I managed such a huge waste. It is simple I did not properly use the Auto Mailer. The purpose of the Auto Mailer is to help us to automate our communication with the ListNerd membership.
Please do not misunderstand this is 100% my fault. The Auto Mailer is completely awesome and very simple to use. I am always behind the proverbial 8 ball. So many times rather than the Professional Marketer, I feel like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
Whatever you do, do not load up the auto mailer and forget it. If you want a set it and forget it kind of setup, there will be some extra steps.
I announce a lot of my live streaming events in ListNerds. I must make new emails with proper dates and times. If I do this a week ahead of time or rather than using specific dates like March 7th I just say Saturday.
It is okay to use Twitter
I know that it is in my nature to fall behind. I can either use it as an excuse to fail or I can plan for it. I choose to plan for it. Nobody likes excuses because everyone has one and they all smell like crap.
To use Listnerds and the auto mailer to announce my events on autopilot, I use EZRotate for the link, and I must make my live stream schedule written in stone. That way I can just change the link inside of EZRotate, keeping the emails the same and relevant.
I just need to be aware of the wording and refer to days and times rather than calendar dates. When I say it is okay to use Twitter, I am saying it is okay to send people to a specific Twitter post that talks about your event in detail. There are a lot of Hive members on Twitter plus there are also a lot of people that would greatly benefit from Hive, but they just do not know it yet.
Using EZRotate to manage my links not just for ListNerds but all of my promotional links is a great idea. You will get a hit count and can track the effectiveness of your advertising efforts.
