I was
one day
in a year...

A key
around your neck
that stopped
in the lock of
other homes.

Because I didn't
understand you,
you would frantically run
into the shadows
of people
who sparkled.

I should have let you go,
I should have set you free,
instead of
counting my own sorrows
while
you were the most suffering.

Forgive me,
I didn't want
to see
that every year
you were
just one day there
for me.

You showed it
so many times,
you shouted,
screamed
that I didn't love you.

And I didn't love you,
otherwise, I would have let you
be happy
for a whole year.
