Dear Future Me,
I hope you are smiling as you read this letter one year from today, so I honestly don't know where life would have taken you by then, but one thing I know is that I hope that you never gave up on yourself, right now, as I write this, I am still in school, trying my best to balance life with everything else that comes with it, it has not always been easy, but somehow I keep showing up every single day, I hope by the time you read this, you are proud of the fact that you did not quit, even on the days when things felt overwhelming.
I also know that by now, you are already settled in your new home, i hope it truly feels like home, a place where you have peace of mind, where you can rest after stressful days, and where you can look around and smile because you know how far you have come, the biggest thing I want to remind you of is this, keep pushing forward.
Please do not relent, I know life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges at us, but do not let those challenges make you forget your dreams, remember all the goals you have written down, remember all the nights you stayed awake planning your future, remember the sacrifices you have made to get to where you are.
Keep your goals right in front of you, don't get distracted by what other people are doing or how fast they seem to be moving, your journey has always been different, and that is perfectly okay, focus on your own path and keep taking one step after another, I also hope you have become kinder to yourself.
I know how hard you can be on yourself sometimes, you always feel like you should be doing more, achieving more, or moving faster, I hope you have learned that growth takes time and that not every good thing happens overnight, take time to celebrate yourself too, celebrate the small wins because they matter just as much as the big ones.
