WASHING OF HANDS
We need to wash our hands properly before we prepare or eat a meal. This ensures that we remove germs from our hands, the primary body part which we use to cook and eat. Each finger, including nails, as well as palms, back of the hands, and wrists must be throughly washed with soap and water before preparing food. Hand washing must never be rushed.
SEPARTING OF RAW FROM COOKED FOOD
Raw food may probably contain disease causing germs. These germs can removed through proper washing and cooking. Because of this, we need to be careful in separing raw from cooked food so that cooked food will not be contaminated.
COOKING FOOD THOROUGHLY
Some kinds of food, such as chicken, are more prone to bacteria. Thus, we need to make sure that these kinds of food are prepared carefully and cooked thoroughly to kill any harmful germs they may carry.
USING CLEAN AND SAFE WATER
Washing raw food with water is a must in order to remove any germs it may have. However, we need to make sure that the water we use is clean and safe.

Many common insects and pests such as flies, cockroaches, and rats carry harmful germs that cause diseases. We must make sure that we store our food away from reach of these insects and pests.
