I pushed ahead in the second day of the new season to try to take advantage of the daily rank battle DEC pool rewards. It is not has much as past season but I will take what I can get. All wins were over 10 DEC and most wins occurred in Silver II.
Straight out more than 20 battles played but not all are wins :p
Why is this happening? With the new season underway there are many players who had pushed prior season to get to top ranks recovering in DEC capture rate bar. There are less people playing and fishing for the DEC in the pool making more DEC to earn on in a battle win. DEC is always added to the pool on a daily basis at a rate of 1 million per a day, but more depending on the DEC price to USD. DEC is pegged to USD at $0.001 / DEC and if the open market is selling it for more there will be more DEC printed into the pool and vise versa. Currently DEC is near $0.0035.

The pool is currently over 3.46 million DEC. This is a good sign for earning more DEC in rank battles.
Conclusions
I am only playing in silver league since the reset in rankings in the new season. Some players in gold and diamond are likely raking in 3 to 5 times the DEC earned per a rank battle win. The earnings are real and they do exist but it is only for a limited time. Knowing when is the best times to play and earn helps the overall ROI.
