Winning With Just 24 Mana in Mordern Ranked Battle - Splinterlands
Hello fellow Splinterlands players it's again @zoe01 and today I'm bringing another ranked battle to you all. I only had 24 mana to spend and I decided to go with my Death team. The battle didn't really end up being very long but it was fun watching how everything went hehe.
Battle Rules
The mana cap for the battle was 24 and the modifier was standard. There were no additional rules to make the battle unique so I could fully enjoy choosing my monsters and making a lineup.
Mode: Modern Ranked - Bracket I
Mana Cap: 24
Modifier: Standard
Available Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon
Since I only had 24 mana to spend I could not just randomly select which monster I would take for the battle. I had to choose wisely which monsters I could include in my lineup without breaking the mana cap. I decided to go with a small lineup and see if my choices would be enough to get me a win.
My Team Selection
For this battle I went with Thalgrimore as my summoner and selected 3 monsters to be in the fight. I put them in different formations to see if they would be enough to get me a win.
My Team
Summoner: Thalgrimore
1st position: Nim Guard Captain (Melee attack)
2nd position: Spellmonger (No attack)
3rd position: Vengeful Monk (Melee attack)
Nim Guard Captain was the first monster in my team. I decided to put him in the 1st position since I needed someone to take out the incoming attacks the opponent would bring throughout the fight.
Next was the Spellmonger, I placed him in the 2nd position as he would help my team during the battle with Nim Guard Captain standing at the front of the formation.
Lastly, I added the Vengeful Monk in the 3rd position. With the mana cap being only 24 I had to make some choices and I decided on these monsters for this battle.
I wasn't going to have a big lineup for this battle but sometimes a small team can still give a good fight. Let's see how they did!
The Battle
My opponent for this battle was ENELYN. The match began and our teams were all set to go. I was excited to see if my monsters would be enough to get me a win.
As the battle started both of our teams were attacking each other and I was always focusing on my frontline. Since I only had 3 monsters to fight with, every single one of them was very important to the fight.
By round 5, things had changed quite a lot. A lot of monsters had already been knocked out and there weren't many fighters left to continue the battle. So far, I was keeping a close eye on every fight that was happening to see who would ultimately come out victorious.
My team continued to fight and I was glad to see the battle going in my favor. I didn't need a huge team to get me the win this time hehe.
And here it comes victory! Hehe. I managed to get the win and earned 81 Glint for the successful battle. It was a great win for a battle where I only had 24 mana to play with.
I also got 500 Sparks for completing my daily streak which was a nice surprise. Now, I can collect those Sparks for the Spark shop.
What do you usually do when you get a low mana cap in Splinterlands? Do you choose to use a small amount of monsters or try to fill up your team to the brim with monsters? Tell me about it in the comments.
