Throwback Thursday: A Birthday Wish for a Friend

A good friend of mine is celebrating her birthday today @shirleynpenalosa and as a birthday gift to her, I am posting this throwback on where we started as friends. It was in 2007 that I met her together with another good friend @girlalugirl. We met in a church planting ministry where all of us were all active in the ministry. We came from different churches and met in a discipleship group where it started, Christ Commission Fellowship. I was quite hesitant to approach her because I was shy at that time. But when we began to chat during a church meeting of a launching event, that's when our friendship started. The three of us would always hang out together, we were in the same ministry together, the Music team, where the two of us, @girlalugirl and I were singers and @shirleynpenalosa was our powerpoint clicker.

These were our younger days together with our brother in Christ. With @catietan and @fherdz.

Our friendship is not perfect. There were times when we would argue and sometimes conflict arises but after a few days, we would again be friends. Our friendship stood the test of time. We both had our ups and downs, when times got rough, we would encourage one another. And when times are good, we would all hang out together. It's been 11 years since I met her and I've known her eversince. She was always the joker in our group and she is always the one who wears sunglasses when going out. We got along together because of one common ground-food!!!

She was the one who invited most of us here in Steemit and I'm glad we joined this community. At present we also have an old friend who joined our group, @mallowfitt, who is also one of our good friends.

I am grateful for the life of my friend @shirleynpenalosa who I met 11 years ago. Happy Birthday friend!!!
