I always like to experiment whenever I want to make any dish
be it vegetables, fish, meat or my favourite paneer.
So here is my twist in a paneer recipe which I tried lately.
So to start with I took 250 gms of paneer
and coated them with chilli powder, turmeric powder, little soya sauce (optional),
and salt as per taste.
Coat and keep for 20-30 mins
and then fry them in a pan using oil until the crust turns light brown.
Next for the masala,
put some oil and butter mix in a pan..
Add lil jeera, 2-3 dry red chillies,
2-3 green chillies, 1 bay leaf,
and 1 TSP ginger garlic paste.
Fry all these for 1 minute
and then add 1 and half cup onion finely chopped
and 2 chopped tomatoes.
Mix and fry all the ingredients and switch off the gas
and let the mixture cool down.
Once it's cool, add it to the mixer and grind a fine paste.
Next take a wok,
Add some oil and add 1 cubed onion
and 1 cubed capsicum and toss for some time.
Don't let it fry.
Next add the ground paste masala
and add little water to the mixer and add remaining masala.
Next fry the masala properly till oil leaves at the sides.
Then add garam masala 1 TSP, and 1/2 TSP chat masala and mix.
Last add the fried paneer to the mix.
Mix for 2-3 minutes and garnish with freshly chopped Coriander.
Your paneer masala with a twist is ready.
You can have it with Pav or Chappati!
