The Sword
Out came The piercing sword
Cutting of our binding ropes
Even loosing hidden cords
Like flames,it burned our hopes
My mouth was open saying nothing
For I had lost the power to speak
Behold the end of mankind
We'll never rise again
The power of angels above
Are now within the veins of men
Who covet celestial wondrosity
And revel in the redemption of our kind
But then came the piercing sword
Fast falling from above.
Sealed and out of mortal view
It came to stop the surge.
Of mortal men reviling gods
and acquiring hidden orbs.
It drove away our outlandishness
and brought us back to fate
That man would never surpass them
The powers high above.
I am now become the strangest man
Who babble things of forgotten world
And the piercing sword story
The people think is a myth.
I wish they knew the times
When we lost the battle to become gods.
