I touched upon this topic in one of my previous posts where I talked about Lil Pump. Very interesting post, I have to say. Now that I look back at it, it was quite a stretch to try to match it up with the message I wanted to share with you all. So I have decided to revisit that topic in this post.
Stand Out From the Crowd
We live in a world where pretty much everyone is looking for more attention both offline and online. It's part of the world we live in and we have to learn to embrace it. If it is online, we want more likes, followers, shares, and views. If it's offline, we still want more views and an increased sense of popularity and inclusion. One of the biggest issues that I see with this is that although we're all trying to attract attention, we're doing it in a way that's the same as everyone else.
Following trends is one of the biggest ways people try to attract more attention while doing the same thing that everyone else is doing. If we look at YouTube videos, there are thousands of videos on the same news story, challenge, and activities. If we look at offline trends, people tend to purchase products that are popular at the time, dress in clothing that almost everyone is wearing, and listen to music that everyone around us is listening to.
I'm not saying that doing any of these things is bad; if you genuinely enjoy doing, wearing, listening, or talking about any of these things, then you should continue and have fun. But remember, for you to attract the attention of others, you need to add a twist to what everyone else is doing. Add something to the colors, title, the body of text, and the overall method of how you are doing things in order to give yourself that extra edge over everyone else.
One of the best ways to do this is to add your own personality to everything you do. Remember, even twins are different! Add different colors, patterns, layers, activities, dialogue, or whatever else that is different about you. Even though you create content that is a similar topic to what someone else created, it will be different as long as you add a touch of your own creativity into the content.
Always remember, people are more likely to be attracted to you and what you are doing because of your personality. The content you produce can only do so much. It's your personality and what you do differently that will attract more eyes to you. Not everyone will like this though. There will be some people who want you to conform to what everyone else is doing and they will try to shut down your creativity. Just continue to do what you're doing and have fun.
