It's harmattan season, the weather is cold and snowy. That fateful day, Jannie woke up from sleep and her mind was running through a strange dream she had. In reality she was thinking about what the dream meant, it was a warning of some kind and also like a setback. She was so unsettled on what the dream actually meant.
"I have no choice here but to talk to someone",Jannie called Helen and narrated everything to her.
"I feel you should talk to your parents about this, if your dad won't listen, I know for sure your mom would" Helen said.
"Helen, I know my parents more than you do, all they listen to is business, contracts, signing and closing deals. This will just sound like a mere dream to them but I know what I saw in that dream. Something was taken away from me and that thing is what determines my future".
"Fineee, then I think you should meet with a dream teller. I know of one who can help with interpretation of the dream you had".
They went to the dream teller who Jannie immediately met and felt a very strong disagreement with her spirit that the man is fake. She told Helen that her spirit doesn't agree with meeting this man but her friend encouraged her to give him a try.

Jannie started " I had a dream where I was about to receive an award that will change my life and someone went behind my back to frame me up as being a witch, this made the institution to revert the honor and began looking for me as a witch rather than an important personality".
"What I see from this is that you have someone in the future who will betray your trust and that person will be your best friend". The dream teller said.
He continues, "but for me to show you who this your friend is, you have to bring the following items I am about to mention".
"Hold it, I won't go diabolic to find out who will be my doom. I have already given you some money to tell me what the dream means and I feel so regretful and now you are about to mention some items. Am off here Helen". She turned on her heel and walked away, her entire demeanor radiating in fury and frustration.
"What was that about Jannie, the man was just about revealing something to us, you should have at least let him mention those items".
"Revealing what exactly, you know you are my best friend, meaning if he's truly a real dream teller he should have known I am standing right in front of him with my best friend, also coming to think of it, if he's truly right, that means you are going to be my doom, I really need to be careful with people I keep as friends". She hissed and stormed off like a furious
"Seriously? You are walking out on me after saying this nonsense that I am your doom. Was it what I saw in the dream ? I am sure you need sometimes alone to think straight, am out".
The argument led to them not speaking to each other. Helen, who became worried and concerned as her childhood friendship with Jannie, is in the mud. She didn't know what to do other than hand it over to God in prayer. She prayed over it and put it off her mind as Jannie continued keeping distances from her for months.
Fast forward to graduation
The weather was great as graduates all dressed in their gowns and caps. Families, friends and we'll all be seated. The graduates that merited awards were being called one after the other to come up to receive award with
It was Jannie's turn, her heart was on fire with so many thoughts of what she saw in her dream happening. She climbed up the podium and her award was handed over to her with cash prizes from different angles and employment opportunities. She found out that what she saw in her dream was a fantasy of her subconscious mind, she felt so sad that her insecurities, frustration and fear made her lose her childhood best friend.
After the graduation, she tried to make peace with Helen but Helen was no were to be found as she left earlier with her parents for a vacation outside the country but she sent a text to Jannie.
"I am so sorry for my actions, statement and how I left you out. My mind was so clouded in the dreams that I forgot how my words have caused damage to our friendship. You have been a very good friend of mine and I feel so bad for hurting you the way I have. I have learnt to always have confidence in my parents like you always say".
"I know how the dream you had made you felt, I told my parents everything and they told me lots of things about dreams. I am glad the dream is just a mere one. I have forgiven you and we are still the best friends we used to be. I am your friend forever,I will be back to town but can't say when. Much love" , Helen sent back.
Jannie read the text and cried bitterly as tears of joy beam on her face. She called Helen and they both United happily.
