Ir al Teatro Teresa Carreño durante la época navideña a disfrutar del Ballet El Cascanueces es algo tan tradicional como preparar hallacas en familia o escribir los deseos para el próximo año. Recuerdo que cuando era niña solía ir, cada año, con mi papá y mi abuela a disfrutar de esta clásico ballet de Navidad. A mí simplemente me encantaba ver toda aquella puesta en escena, sin embargo, con el paso del tiempo nos olvidamos un poco de continuar con esta tradición. Este año quise retomar con esta tradición de ir al Teatro durante esta época y así fue como terminé animando a mi novio que, cabe destacar, nunca había ido a ver este clásico.
La puesta en escena fue increíble, tal como la recordaba de hace un par de años atrás. Fueron casi dos horas y media de actuaciones convertidas en magia que, al menos para mí, transcurrieron deprisa por lo embelesada que estuve durante toda la función. Al salir, fuimos por un cafecito en un pequeño lugar que se encuentra dentro del teatro y mientras comíamos galletitas y degustábamos el café, hablamos durante un rato extenso sobre nuestras impresiones sobre el espectáculo.
Going to the Teresa Carreño Theater during the Christmas season to enjoy the The Nutcracker Ballet is as traditional as preparing hallacas with the family or writing wishes for the coming year. I remember when I was a child I used to go, every year, with my dad and my grandmother to enjoy this classic Christmas ballet. I simply loved to see all that staging, however, as time went by we forgot to continue with this tradition. This year I wanted to resume this tradition of going to the theater during this time and that's how I ended up encouraging my boyfriend who, it should be noted, had never been to see this classic.
The staging was incredible, just as I remembered it from a couple of years ago. It was almost two and a half hours of performances turned into magic that, at least for me, went by fast because of how enraptured I was during the whole show. When we left, we went for a coffee in a small place inside the theater and while we ate cookies and tasted the coffee, we talked for a long time about our impressions of the show.
