Esta semana continuamos probando cosas del menú del Café Don Elías de la cadena de Supermercados Fórum. Me había planteado no consumir ningún postre durante esta semana porque la semana pasada digamos que me extralimité un poco con el azúcar, pero resulta que hoy la torta de chocolate se me atravesó en el camino y de verdad que lucía deliciosa...será el único postre de la semana, me lo prometo.
Esta vez pedí un capuchino pequeño que, como les he comentado antes, tiene un costo de $1 (por eso que café Don Elías es mi nueva viaje confiable). Cómo siempre, el café estuvo en su punto perfecto ¡justo lo que necesitaba para despertarme! Ahora, hablemos de lo novedoso: la torta de chocolate. Para mí gusto estaba un poco dulce, pero este tema del dulzor es una cosa de gustos particulares de cada persona, lo que sí puedo destacar que me encantó fue su textura tan húmeda y a la vez esponjocita.
¿Sabor intenso a cacao? Realmente no, costaba percibirlo, pero en líneas generales la torta me gustó. La porción es bastante considerable y vale esos $2,39 de su costo. Yo le daría a esta torta de chocolate un 7/10 😎. Ya por esta semana he cubierto mi cuota de postres, pero posiblemente la semana que viene visite de nuevo Café Don Elías para probar alguna otra opción del menú.
This week we continued trying things from the menu of the Café Don Elías of the Supermercados Fórum chain. I had considered not eating any dessert this week because last week I went a little overboard with the sugar, but it turns out that today the chocolate cake came my way and it really looked delicious...it will be the only dessert of the week, I promise.
This time I ordered a small cappuccino which, as I've told you before, costs $1 (that's why Don Elias coffee is my new reliable trip). As always, the coffee was just right, just what I needed to wake me up! Now, let's talk about the novelty: the chocolate cake. For my taste it was a little sweet, but this sweetness issue is a matter of each person's particular taste, what I can say that I loved was its texture, so moist and at the same time spongy.
Intense cocoa flavor? Not really, it was difficult to perceive it, but in general terms I liked the cake. The portion is quite substantial and worth the $2.39 cost. I would give this chocolate cake a 7/10 😎. I've already covered my dessert quota for this week, but possibly next week I'll visit Café Don Elías again to try some of the other menu items.
