Con la mitad de la energía necesaria
para expresar una queja,
se empieza a construir una solución.
With half the energy needed
to express a complaint,
you begin to build a solution.

The human being has many qualities in his nature, but also defects with which he has to deal daily. Many times these defects are manifested in attitudes that are not the best company because they produce backwardness and also a rejection by those around him. And this is how the complaint arises, an attitude that is not very accepted, especially if it becomes something prolonged, something that is most of your actions daily.
And it is not that I question the simple fact of criticizing, no, nothing further from that in these lines. It is rather the fact of prolonging such a negative attitude and turning it into your major attitude in your daily life.
Complaining is not the resolution of the problem. When you complain about a prolonged basis and adopt that as your lifestyle, you become very annoying and a target of rejection from those around you. In my personal experience, more directly, at the work level, I experienced this type of situation a lot, both in myself and in many co-workers.
People who complained about not getting this or that raise or promotion, even fall into the level of envy, because they always criticized that the prize or incentive was given to others instead of them. Self-reflection is rarely done in this type of situation and we rarely stop to ask ourselves if we are doing things well enough.
We usually tend to blame the environment for the situation or for not being able to achieve what we want and that is where the question arises to me: Are we wise or brave enough to accept that we are not doing well?
We rarely examine ourselves, let alone achieve this type of self-critical behavior to improve. In my case, I always tend to be my critic, and even though it has not been easy on many occasions to accept my mistakes, I believe that it is a path on which one can walk and advance little by little until reaching a good level of practice in this type of subject.
Prolonged complaining makes us sick and alienates those around us. An excessively complaining person is difficult to bear and much less to have around always. That toxic energy of pessimism that comes with prolonged complaining, of course, manages to stagnate us and not let us move forward in life.
There was once someone very close to me who gave me wise advice regarding complaints and it is the fact that we must complain less and take care more, because although the complaint is indeed valid as a reaction, it will not solve anything but the relief or freedom to express ourselves about what bothers us or does not seem good to us, but in fact, it will never solve the problem.
We must analyze what is happening, including the possibility that we are to blame for the situation. It may turn out to be the fact that we are not doing it right or at least not doing it well enough concerning what is required of us. By occupying ourselves with looking for how to solve what is not right and giving way to perennial complaining, we are paving the way to that success we hope to achieve.
It is true that perhaps we will not always get what we want to achieve and this may cause a certain level of frustration in us, but there will always be the satisfaction that at least we tried and we can even analyze the situation to gather the experience and with it, we can work on a better strategy or behavior that can lead us to success or at least not harm us in a new opportunity.
The fact of not stopping in the complaint as a lifestyle and moving to the stage of dealing with the resolution of the problem gives us a level of maturity that will help us to better navigate life without negative impacts that damage our emotionality and therefore, our balance.
We must learn to practice self-criticism, of course, without being so severe with ourselves and not so exaggeratedly flexible that we tend to justify everything bad or wrong that we may be committing at certain times of life.
Complain less and occupy ourselves more, that should be the goal. Taking learning and evolving between constancy and improving every day for and by ourselves, must become life practice. Being human and accepting our mistakes will always be the best way. Thank you for joining me in this little moment of reflection and wisdom.
La madurez es cuando dejas de quejarte
y de excusarte, y comienzas a hacer cambios.
Maturity is when you stop complaining
and making excuses and start making changes.
