First off, I would like to note that these animals are called, "wild animals" for a reason. The likes of lions, tigers and all are built for what they are called, the wild. They are not built for the environment like ours, they are built for that space/place where they can hunt, live, explore and navigate their own way.
So, I don't think anyone should because they can afford them, care for them or have a fancy apartment for them then decide to own them. One of the things we were being taught as simple as it is, is very true, there's a clear difference between domesticated animals and those that are not. I understand the part that some just love them, they feel they can care for them, own them, live with them and all.
But then again, wild animals are different, and they are called wild for a reason, another reason being that they could run wild at any moment. Even dogs that are domesticated get to a certain age/time where they start displaying certain wild traits. So, these wild animals to me shouldn't in any way be domesticated, the way they train dogs to go bring a shoe, to shut up, to stop, to go, to come and all, can a lion be trained and tamed the same way.
I've seen videos of people leaving there kids to the embrace of a dog to protect it and watch over it, I don't feel comfortable with it, the fact that I'm comfortable with even a dog means I can't even allow a lion or tiger too. Because, what if, I mean..what if
I know money does a lot of things, but I don't think anyone would be a me to replicate a wild animal. Even though various zoos and wildlife that we have today aren't still like the real wild to them, but then, they still have some proper security, enclosures and very good hands in desk (expertise). Every animal has it's own behavior and character, it takes a professional to really care for them, and private owners can't know all of these traits/characters they possess.
I would like to liken domesticate wild animals to someone who feels like his/her goat has some sort of spiritual issues or needs some sort of spiritual guidance, then decides to it up and take it to church, it does sounds funny right, but we all know it is not right.
Keeping wild animals at home is dangerous not just for the owner but to his family members, neighbors and all. So, it's just best to leave them in the wild where they are, or in the zoos where there are professionals and trained personnel that respect them and are trained to look after them.
This is just my own personal opinion, others may have a different opinion and I very well respect it, we all are different and we most times see things differently. I love and appreciate the wild, but from a distance.
But remember, they are called "wild" for a reason. ✌️
