If there were only a power where a creature or something that went extinct, was given life, I would not use it. It may sound like fun to bring back an extinct creature, product, or way of life, but sometimes nature determines what goes extinct and humans will sometimes ruin it. Because one species goes extinct, we may not want to bring it back due to having even greater challenges ahead of us then before we even tried to use that kind of an extreme power.
Nature is set in ways where animals play a part in their environments. When a species is extinct, slowly species that live with it, are used to not having the species alive with them. In some cases, that certain species may try to hunt its other species for food and water and could cause one of today's animals' extinct from their lives.
It also could carry unknown diseases or even traits that many animals today are not even used to.
And what if they knew exactly what it was when it grew back and everything was supposed to be fine? Still it wouldn't even be a certain possibility.
An animal also could want to get back to the past, where we only know information about it in pictures or maybe from the skeletons they once have in museums. The conditions may be different, the temperature may be too cold or too hot, the trees may be different or even the atmosphere can even change. One species would become miserable due to us interfering with its original habitat and having things how they were then or else, they would be too miserable so you just wouldn't use the power on it.
We would get to an extreme where we wouldn't even care if a species died anymore because it will eventually get born again anyway. But instead, we should realize that we are lucky enough to be around the species that are currently living and need to work on protecting them now before they also can disappear. One is too much, we don't need to have two extinct species due to having that power and them not needing it anymore, due to having already caused them not to exist as it is.
Ultimately nature reminds us we can only do certain things so its time to focus on the live of today instead of fixing what happened and interfering with the animals in the past. People need to respect the nature and the animals, and by them being extinct then it is now their time in nature and it is our time to watch out for the animals that we do have, before they become the extinctions of tomorrow.
So basically, if I had the power it wouldn't be used ever! It may just stand by as a reminder of how much life depends on humans; if anything at all, it is a lesson from what nature chose to get rid of because somehow its not suppose to be with them anymore.
