Welcome once again to my blog; today we're going to be reviewing a movie titled Elevator Baby. I know you would want to know what the movie is about, especially seeing how catchy the title is. You would want to know if a baby was probably found in an elevator or if a baby did something inside an elevator; in short, you would want to know what connected a baby to an elevator.

Now, this movie follows the story of a guy named Dare. Dare happens to be a young, irresponsible, nonchalant, and wealthy guy. It is important to add that he's from a wealthy home, not as if he's spending his hard-earned money. Yeah, Dare happens to be unemployed even though he is educated; he saw no reason why he should work and was just living off his mother's money. The only things he does are to spend time with his friends, have fun, and spend money, and that's all. He happens to have lost his dad, but his mom remarried, so he now has a stepfather who happens to be a doctor, and as you would have rightly guessed, he doesn't like the man.

Along the line, his mom got tired of the way he was living his life and forced him to get a job; she first cut off his access to funds so he got broke. It was on his way to an interview that the whole drama began.

He got to the place of the interview and got into the elevator that would take him to the the office he was going to, and there in the elevator with him was Abigail, a pregnant woman. Abigail happens to be a domestic worker who has gotten pregnant by her boss's husband. She was on her way to tell her madam about it since her husband had abandoned her when she and Dare met inside the elevator. Long story short, the light went off when they were still inside the elevator, so the elevator stopped. While they were banging on the elevator walls and trying to scream for help, Abigail went into labor.

Abigail was left at the mercys of Dare, Dare who doesn't know how to do anything. Well, he had to reach out to his mom and then got connected to his stepdad, who was a doctor. He was told he had no option but to help deliver the baby inside the elevator; by the time they got the elevator working, it would be too late. Even though shocked, afraid, and inexperienced, Dare, with the help of his stepdad on the call, was able to help Abigail deliver the baby.... Inside the elevator. It was that particular experience inside the elevator that changed Dare and made him a responsible, caring, and loving guy.

I enjoyed this movie so much. I love it, especially because it didn't contain so much cast and they didn't use a lot of locations; it was simple, and the whole message of that movie was gotten and delivered just inside that elevator. Another thing is, even though the scene in the elevator was the longest, it wasn't boring.

Timini Egbuson acted as Dare; I love his carefree life and how he transitioned into a caring, humane, and then a responsible guy. And I love how he was able to maintain that shocked and scared expression during the delivery inside the elevator. It was just so natural; you would almost think it was happening for real.

And then Toyin Abraham, she acted as Abigail; even though the way she acts forced me to laugh at times, even during tense moments inside the elevator, I can't help but still laugh. She delivered so well too; I love how she showed enough emotions, was funny, and at the same time was serious too. Amazing, I must say. And then Shaffy Bello, she acted as Dare's mom, and honestly, the woman delivered; trust her to always deliver. She's someone I rate and love so much.

But then, I felt Dare did too much at the beginning. I understand that his character was supposed to be irresponsible, spoilt, and all, but then he exaggerated it; it was just too much for my liking. He almost got me irritated. Also, I feel some of the scenes were unnecessary. I understand that they were just trying to build a story around what eventually happened inside the elevator and how it came to be; even still, some scenes could have been reduced.

Overall, the movie is an amazing one. Timini Egbuson, Toyin Abraham, and Shaffy Bello made it worth my time.
