Una flor me he encontrado,
abandonada sobre el suelo grisáceo,
nostalgia me ha dado,
verla ahí, sólita y sin cuidados,
como si fuera un objeto despreciado,
un ser olvidado.
A flower I have found,
abandoned on the grayish ground,
it made me nostalgic,
to see it there, alone and uncared for,
as if it were a despised object,
a forgotten being.
Yo no podía dejarla así,
la tome y la saqué de ahí,
es pesada, no les voy a mentir,
pero, ella no merece morir aquí
y la llevaré hasta donde tenga que ir,
para que viva sus últimos días feliz.
I couldn't leave her like that,
I grabbed her and pulled her out of there,
she's heavy, I'm not going to lie to you,
but, she doesn't deserve to die here
and I will take her wherever she has to go,
so that she can live her last days happily
Cuando llegue a una casa,
de la que no conozco nada,
busque donde ubicarla,
para que estuviera bien cuidada,
donde fuera recordada
y nunca la olvidarán.
When I arrive at a house,
of which I know nothing,
I looked for a place to put it,
so that it would be well cared for,
where it would be remembered
and never forgotten.
Y funcionó,
ahí la amaron sin restricción,
porque, cuando regresé yo,
encontré en aquel lugar, algo mejor,
un dibujo de aquella flor
que la inmortalizó.
And it worked,
there they loved her without restriction,
because, when I came back,
I found in that place, something better,
a drawing of that flower
that immortalized it.
